Jake & Marz did the entire job except for the texturing
and painting of the walls... we hired that done! From
the decision to do it to the end of the project took about
a year and a half. We did just a little here and there
until the last few months, then we worked on it pretty
steady. To help sound proof the walls, we went with layers.
From the inside to the outside we have paint, texture,
7-8ths drywall, 2 layers of tar paper, acoustical insulation,
studs, 2 layers of tar paper, wall board, 2 layers of tar paper,
wall board, paint. There was some discussion that with all
the layers of tar paper we put up, we may have unwittingly
created a gigantic speaker... oops!
