Jammin' did dwell on planet Jake, and planet Marz A dark silence fell down and rolled out on both the landz The last note left hanging, too long, without the bandz The jamrz cried out, THE MUSIC, it bleedz And flows to the valleys, now red from the sedge Then all was dark and silent, not a note made it through And the stars were all fading, fading out, but a few Then the last twinkling of light, in A minor I think Reflects off in the distance, one glimmering blink Could one note have made it, so faded, so low Then our minds blew across it and it caused to grow The light became deafening, the note blinded my eyez And the jamrz raised voices in one massive cry... BAM BIG BAM JAM PRIVATE by invitation only jam, Sept 22nd at Jake's place "Hippie Peace Love Jam", will be a public jam later this year. This is it! We're starting back up the jams! Make sure to get there early (7pm) if you want to Jam... if you get there late, you might not make it up!! This is also the jam that will get you on the new invite list (JAMR list) for all the rest of the jams... so, don't miss it!
Check out Monte Lane's website - IE5+ or Netscape6 needed! TWO stage areas! The big screen eye candy stage we normally use will be mostly for BANDS and the new stage in the new studio will be mostly for individual JAMRz. All the usual stuff applies. The hot tub will be bubblin'(bring a suite and towel in you plan to do the tub).SORRY...the pool is off limits during the jam, unless someone wants to spring for a PAID PRO lifequard. The networked computer games will be available on 3 or more computers, plus the Amiga. Need to express yourself? Wanna let everyone know you're gonna be there? Or just checkout what others are saying? Jake's Jam Sessions Message Board And as always... if you're having a jam and want it posted on this website, you can either post it in the message board link above or contact me via email at Jake@Ainsworth.net |

Click here for some of the sites and sounds The turn-out was low and so was the temperature! At 5pm it was somewhere in the low 70's and by the last song, I'm guessing it was in the low 40's. It rained Saturday morning, but by jam time (5pm) the weather was great! Because of the low turn-out, we didn't get started till late, about 8pm, but Paul, Kirt, Jake and others played acoustics until then. The first band up was Cooley, Barrington & Symms. They opened with Grand Funk Railroad's "Are You Ready"! Excellent!! The rest of their set was originals. Bob, Steve & Mike put on a great show! Sounded great guys! Next up was Midget Rules. Clinton, Jim & Dan never fail to put on a great show and this was no exception. They played a couple different times through the night. Clinton was having a bit of trouble with strings breaking, so Jim took the oportunity to lay down pearls of wit and wisdom to the people while Clinton changed strings. Dan's the man on drums and he rocked the stage all night. GREAT!! as usual guys! We had a "Free For All" jam for a couple hours! Dan & Steve played double drum sets during most of the FFA jam. I remember some Hendrix being played. Kirt jumped up on stage a few times to help with the vocals and both bands and a couple of other guitar players rounded out the FFA jam. The last set was Midget Rules. It was cut short. It was after mid-night and the campgrounds people wanted us to wrap it up. Last song, requested by Jake, was "Me & My Machine". After packing up all the equipment, we all went to a couple different camp sites and played acoustics. Paul was pulling out a bunch of tunes to keep the campers singing. |
